
Join us at Boyd House II / Walsh Street for an exhibition of the Australian Tapestry Workshop’s Tapestry Design Prize finalists for 2025.
The Tapestry Design Prize celebrates the intersection of architecture and tapestry design and fosters creative collaborations between architects and tapestry weavers. The site for the 2025 Tapestry Design Prize design challenge is Walsh Street, with applicants having the opportunity to create designs for five distinct spaces within the residence.
The five finalist designs, selected by the Australian Tapestry Workshop master weavers, have been woven into tapestry and will be displayed at Walsh Street from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 November.
The winner of the $5,000 Prize will be selected by a jury comprising of Patrick Kennedy (Kennedy Nolan), Sally Evans (Nexus) and Cassie Hansen (ArchitectureAU) and announced on Thursday 12 November.
Exhibition goers will be able to vote online during the exhibition’s duration to select the $1,000 People’s Choice Prize Winner.
