Plant Life: The Nature of Design at the NGV explores humanity’s evolving relationship with the plant world through design, from ancestral craft knowledge, through industrial exploitation to the designers building a regenerative material future today.

The exhibition spans furniture, architecture, decorative arts, craft, photography and film, and includes a set eucalyptus-dyed woollen yarns made by textile artist and ATW Natural Dye Specialist Heather Thomas, produced at ATW using native plants sourced within 100 kilometres of the NGV.
